This course is the entry point of the Community Services stream of courses and prepares the students to have knowledge and skills for working in community or residential setting who follow an individualised plan to provide person-centred support to people who require support due to ageing, disability or other reasons. This course provides pathways for further learning at Certificate IV or Diploma level.
Workers have a range of factual, technical and procedural knowledge, as well as some theoretical knowledge of the concepts and practices required to provide person centred support. Candidates must have completed at least 120 hours work as in addition to face-to-face training.
SIS30321 : Certificate III in Fitness - CRICOS 120448C
This qualification prepares individuals to work as group and gym fitness instructors. You will develop the skills to plan and deliver group exercise sessions and create gym-based programs for individuals, where personalised instruction and ongoing client monitoring are limited.
You will work in predictable environments under general supervision, using discretion and judgement to address routine issues within established organisational policies and procedures.
This qualification provides a pathway to employment in fitness facilities, gyms, and leisure or community centres. Skills are applied in accordance with Commonwealth and State or Territory legislation, Australian standards, and industry codes of practice.

This course is an entry point of the Community Services stream of courses and prepares the students to have theoretical and practical knowledge and skills for specialised and/or skilled work and/or further learning.
Individuals in these roles carry out a mix of support workers who complete specialised tasks and functions in aged services; either in residential, home or community-based environments. Workers will take responsibility for their own outputs within defined organisation guidelines and maintain quality service delivery through the development, facilitation and review of individualised service planning and delivery. Candidates must have completed 120 hours of work as part of this course
HLT43021 : Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance - CRICOS 120450J
This qualification prepares individuals to work as allied health assistants. You will develop the skills to support Allied Health Professionals in delivering therapy and health programs to clients in settings such as hospitals, aged care, disability services, and community environments.
You will work under supervision and follow instructions to assist with client care, identify risks, and report any concerns. Supervision may be direct, indirect, or remote, depending on workplace requirements and your level of experience.
You may work in one area or across multiple health disciplines, and in some roles, you may assist or guide other support staff within your scope of practice.
To achieve this qualification, you must complete at least 120 hours of clinical placement in a real workplace setting.

This qualification prepares individuals to work as personal trainers. Clients with higher health risks are referred to medical or allied health professionals.
You will work independently in a range of environments, using judgement and initiative to respond to both routine and unpredictable situations. You will also develop communication skills to work effectively with clients and, where required, with other health professionals.
This qualification provides a pathway to employment as a personal trainer in fitness facilities, gyms, leisure or community centres, as well as delivering services in client homes, workplaces, outdoor settings, or online.

This course is the mid - point of the Community Services stream of courses and prepares the students to have knowledge and skills for paraprofessional work and/or further learning at Bachelor level.
Community services, case management and social housing workers involved in the managing, co-ordinating and/or delivering of person-centred services to individuals, groups and communities. Workers are usually providing direct support to individuals or groups of individuals. Workers may also have responsibility for the supervision of other workers and volunteers and/or case management, program coordination or the development of new business opportunities. All candidates must have completed at least 200 hours of work.
CHC62015 : Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management - CRICOS 120452G
This qualification prepares individuals to work as managers in community sector organisations. You will develop the skills to plan, lead and monitor service delivery, and support organisational goals and strategic directions.
You will work independently and report to senior management, directors, or boards. You will use judgement and leadership skills to manage people, resources, and daily operations across a range of community service settings.
You will also develop skills in staff recruitment, performance management, risk management, and continuous improvement. Roles may include managing a program, project, or an entire community-based organisation such as a not-for-profit, community centre, or early childhood service.
